Worm Steerers

This steerer was originally designed for Kaiser Wilhelm’s Yacht Meteor which was designed to race against Britannia.  The Worm Gear Steerer is a very rugged steerer, with cast Bronze and Stainless construction for optimum strength.  Since the Worm Gear offers no “feedback” it is best suited for long keeled cruising designs that will track properly with little or no attention to the wheel.  Several styles and sizes to fit boats from 25’ (7.6m) to 85’ (26m).
